The Research Grants Council (RGC) manages the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme aiming at attracting the best and brightest students from all over the world to pursue their PhD studies in Hong Kong. Eligible to apply are those who are seeking admission as new full-time PhD students at 8 Hong Kong institutions.
The Fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HKD 25,000 and an annual conference travel allowance of HKD 12,900. Eligible candidates should first make an Initial Application online through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme Electronic System to obtain a HKPFS Reference Number by 2 December 2019 at Hong Kong Time 12:00 before submitting applications for PhD admission to their desired institutions.
