Since SHARP began its research at Sedgeford, an exciting picture has emerged of human activity within the parish, dating back to the Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age and which continues up to the First World War. Throughout the project’s research, its main focal point has been around the Anglo-Saxon period. It is here where our archaeological research has delivered an amazing insight into everyday life during this important period of British history.

The Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project (SHARP) is a long-term, multi-period, multi-disciplinary research project. Its primary objective is to investigate human settlement and land usage in the Norfolk parish of Sedgeford.
Recent and ongoing work encompasses multiple sites, including a large scale excavation of an Anglo-Saxon settlement and cemetery to the investigation of the site of the original village.
Now in it’s 16th year, SHARP is one of the largest independent archaeological projects in Britain. Rooted in the local community, the project is democratic, innovative and believes in making archaeology more accessible to everyone.

    The notion of information logistics (IL) has been introduced as a new information management paradigm. Goal is to enable the effective and efficient delivery of needed information in the right format, granularity and quality, at the right place, at the right point in time to the right actors. IL has received much attention in recent years, both from researchers and practitioners. In order to better understand the state-of-the-art and current research trends in the research field of IL, this paper presents a comprehensive IL literature survey. In total, we identified 53 scientific articles discussing IL concepts and approaches. These articles were systematically analyzed and finally classified in ten research clusters. Based on these clusters, a more comprehensive understanding of past, current, and future IL developments becomes possible.
